The developers of the, three-billion dollar Galaxy Macau resort and casino wanted to create a stunning visual display of lasers, lights, and LEDs to engage passers-by and entertain visitors. Ptarmigan Integration of Hong Kong, selected the Laser Fantasy team to design and install interior and exterior laser systems to meet the high expectations of this world-class facility.

Each of the nine outdoor laser systems consists of a 50-Watt Laser Fantasy Infinity 2000 controlled by a Pangolin QM2000.NET system. Fiber-optic fed remote heads allow the laser equipment to rest in a climate-controlled equipment room, escaping the heat and humidity of Macau’s tropical climate. Laser Fantasy leveraged the Ethernet capabilities of our Infinity 2000 laser system as the basis of a centralized control and programming system. Industry-standard Pangolin QM200.NET laser controllers talking on the same Ethernet network as the lasers provide centralized control over the artistic effects of the system. We developed a custom software interface for our client to tie our entire system into their touch-screen control system.

The indoor laser system consists for four Laser Fantasy Rainbow Purewhite 4 RGB projectors. The compact Rainbow Purewhite projectors allow discrete mounting that is almost invisible to observers, making the laser effect appear more magical.

With 450 Watts of laser output from nine 50-watt lasers, the Galaxy Casino in Macau holds the title of “Most Powerful Permanent Laser Display in the World”.
